Pack it up, pack it in...

let me begin! Can I just say how much I am excited for a new beginning? I love to get rid of stuff and prepare to journey out. I DO!!!

Yesterday after an awesome worship service, I went to my parents place to cull and pack. I got rid of an obscene number of magazines. Obscene. Never read. If I didn't move often, I would be in danger of becoming a pack rat. Yikes!

Still, it's amazing how much stuff I have, even after getting rid of all those mags and some clothes. I really do want to be able to travel light, but it's hard since I like cute outfits and live in cities. That's why living on a farm is awesome. You need work clothes, something cute and functional for market, and contra dance clothes (maybe). That's it. After working in the Wellness department at Earth Fare, I have so stinkin much product for my white-girl afro, I just can't even tell you. And I've gotten rid of more than I have. Wow!

So for now, all clothes are packed, extraneous stuff is tossed, and I just need to pack dishes, grab odds & ends from the kitchen, and decide which books I'm taking. Now all I have to do is decide where to live Tuesday. Yes, Lord, prepare a place for me in Johnson City!

Forget the former things;
      do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
      Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
      and streams in the wasteland.
                  Isaiah 43:18-19
